I had Professor Ariss years ago for Sociology. I was in a room with 100-120 with most people around 19-21 years old. He must have told us once a week, “You should read Power Elite by C. W. Mills. It’s a great book!” Ariss would also talk about Karl Marx who is to Socialism what Hitler is to Nazis. The definition of socialism is the following: The science of society, social institutions, and social relationships; specifically : the systematic study of the development, structure, interaction, and collective behavior of organized groups of human beings. Okay, Mills was also so Sociologist. I don’t recall learning about how our founding fathers behaved in organized groups. I don’t remember Ariss him telling us to read any “great books” about capitalism or how capitalism is the reason our country is great. Nothing about how Socialism is a way of thinking but a failure in most countries that implemented it throughout history.

The point is it was all one sided toward Socialism and pushed kids to read books about Socialism. Just another way of poisoning our kids to growing up left wing socialists. I can only imagine how many people left his class and were changed forever politically because of his teachings.
